2013 Lincoln MKZ Concept to be Revealed in Detroit Next Year

The Lincoln MKZ model has been on the market since 2005 and is now making a comeback, sporting a new look. The concept version of the new Lincoln MKZ is said to characterize an ‘evolutionary redesign’ which will retain its original front and all-wheel design.

The MKZ 2013 will be positioned on a new platform that shares features with the next generation Ford Fusion and its European counterpart Ford Mondeo. The MKZ may also be offering an optional four-wheel drive.

The engine will supposedly be available in three different variants – a turbo-charged eco-boost four cylinder, a hybrid four-cylinder and a V6.

There are also rumours of Lincoln planning to bring Ford Australia’s Falcon over to the US, where it will be extensively promoted.

The concept Lincoln MKZ will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2012.
