One wouldn’t really think of the Fiat 500 as a ‘monster’ car. In fact, it’s probably one of the smallest cars available on the market. However, the new Fiat 500L has got a little more bulk to it – enough bulk to take on Godzilla.
The ad starts off with the mother of all monsters, the infamous Godzilla, making his way through a bust up city. Apparently, he’s really hungry and apparently he has quite a taste for Fiat 500’s. As someone says in the ad: “it looks like he’s craving Italian!” Cringe.
The monster then proceeds to gobble up two Fiat 500’s. However, when he spots another Fiat 500 – not realizing it’s the all new Fiat 500L – he has a bit of trouble.
Because of the car’s bulked up size, even Godzilla, monster of all monsters, has a problem biting, chewing or even swallowing the Fiat 500L. In fact, he can’t stand it and eventually spits the car out – saving all the passengers inside.
Given, the ad is rather lame. But it still gets the message across quite clearly: The Fiat 500L is much stronger and bulkier than it’s predecessors.
The new Godzilla movie is also set for release on May 16th, so the ad not only promotes the Fiat 500L, but the film too.
