Even of Team Sky does not win this year’s Tour de France, they will still have something to brag about – one kick ass support vehicle in the form of a special edition Jaguar F-Type.
The once-off F-Type coupe has been specially designed for Team Sky and will act as the team’s official support vehicle during the penultimate stage of the grueling Tour de France cycling race.
The car was designed and built by Jaguar Land Rover’s all new Special Vehicle Operations division, and will without a doubt blow the socks (wheels?) off any other support vehicle in the race.
The car, which is based on the F-Type R Coupe, produces a powerful 542 horsepower from a 5.0 liter, supercharged, V8 engine. (more…)
This is one showdown we’re very excited to watch. Two of the world’s best performance cars go head to head in battle in this video by UK-based car news sure, Auto Express.
In one corner, we have the all new, much anticipated BMW M4.
As the name suggests, the M4 is the new version of the ever-popular, M3. For any performance car loving fan, the M3 has always been one of the best, and, considering that things only tend to get better, the M4 looks set to be just as (or even more) impressive.
The M4 produces 425bhp from a twin turbo engine and, according to the drivers in the video, its has a raw, edgy feeling to it that makes it just that much dinner to drive – especially at high speeds. (more…)
If you’ve tuned into any television channel in the past month, then its very likely that you have seen Jaguar’s British villains ‘Rendezvous’ ad.
The ad, which features prominent British actors Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong, showcases the actors as typical, British villains. They ask the camera whether you have ever notched that in Hollywood movies all the super evil villains are always played by Brits.
The ad forms part of Jaguar’s latest ad campaign, ‘It’s good to be bad’. Naturally, with Britain being the home of Jaguar, they play on typical British things, and of course, show us how badass the Jaguar (F-Type in particular) is.
Now while the company has already released a string of ads that for part of its ‘It’s good to be bad’ campaign, the latest one seemed to get more negative attention than positive. (more…)
It feels as though Tesla and their eccentric CEO, Elon Musk, are always in the news – and that’s not a bad thing.

Well this certainly looks like something from a sci-fi superhero movie!
Jaguar Land Rover recently unveiled their concept for a virtual reality windscreen to be fitted in your actual car. Given you drive a Jaguar or Land Rover, of course. The idea revolves around a type of augmented reality, implemented in the windscreen of your car. And while it might sound a little strange (and dangerous, let’s be honest) it does have some pretty cool features.
The windscreen is,as they call it, an interactive display that offers the drivers various features while on the road.
One of the best features of the windscreen, is its ability to provide you, as the driver, with virtual racing lines that change colour. The colours change in order to show you the best braking positions, mostly on hard, steep curves or bends on the road. (more…)
It seems that the level of Father’s Day gifts have gone through the roof this year!
A few weeks ago, we reported on one determined son who made a promise to his dad when he was a young boy. The promise was that when he gets older, he would give his dad the one thing he always wanted: a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
The son spent the next two years saving for the sky blue beauty and finally, on Father’s Day this year, gave his dad the car.
Naturally, the video of the special moment went viral and had us and many people around the world in tears. And now it seems that one woman was looking to out-do the man with the Chevy Bel Air. (more…)
One of the UK’s leading car reviewers, and all round petrol heads, AutoCar, recently had the opportunity to take the all new Ferrari 458 Speciale around the track at Castle Coombe.
The 458 is, as the name suggests, a very special car. And of course, it’s very beautiful too. However, for the guys at AutoCar, taking the Ferrari 458 Speciale around the Castle Coombe circuit, was somewhat of a deja vu experience.
As they mention in the video, the last time the group was at Castle Coombe, the took the Ferrari 430 Scuderia around the track. The Scuderia, as they say, quickly became one of their favourite sports cars ever. (more…)
Hot of the heels of Google’s proposed self0driving car, Mercedes-Benz has revealed that they have a similar plan in mind. Except they’re thinking on a bigger scale – self-driving trucks.
The German automaker recently announced that their planned self-driving truck has in fact completed its first public road test. And the results were;t too shabby either.
Dubbed the ‘Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025′ (way to go on the originality there, Mercedes…) the truck actually successfully drove itself on a stretch of the A14 Autobahn in Magdeburg, Germany. This is the first time a truck was driven autonomously.
According to the company, the truck reached speeds of up to 85km/h, which is pretty impressive considering the fact that it’s a pretty big truck, driven completely by itself. (more…)
