Audi TT gets a Louis Vuitton makeover – and it’s bad

AUDI tt

It’s not often that you see an ugly Audi TT. I mean, the car in itself is beautifully designed, sleek and so elegant it is almost impossible to to think of it as ‘ugly’.

However, when some certain people (with an obvious penchant for bling) decide to ‘slightly modify’ the statuesque TT, things can go horribly wrong. And unfortunately, at the recent Tuning World Bondensee in Germany, this is exactly what happened.

While there were many modified and tuned up cars that were classy and well done, one tuned up car stood out from the rest. And not in a good way at all.

The Louis Vuitton Audi TT is a hot mess. It’s so shiny that it will definitely make your eyes hurt and the other features, i.e leather padding over the engine, is so kitch that you would almost expect this car to stand in the drive way of on the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s homes. (more…)

Audi TT Coupe 2.0 TDI quattro

Powerful performance with maximum efficiency this is how the Audi TT 2.0 TDI quatro press release starts. Yes guys it’s true that we’re looking at a quattro coupe, a real sports car, that has a 2.0 TDI engine that develops 170hp and 350Nm of torque and has a stunning fuel consumption : an average of 5.3 liters of fuel per 100km, that’s 44.38 mpg.

The specs above and the looks are already winning customers, but here’s some more.

  • 0 to 100km/h in 7.5 seconds
  • a top speed of 226 km/h (140 mph)
  • weighs 1,370 kg
  • permanent four-wheel-drive
  • 16-inch cast aluminum wheels
  • optional: Audi’s magnetic ride (shock absorber system)

It got my vote.
