Did you ever think that you would be impresses by a school bus? Probably not.
Generally, school busses are boring, they don’t go very fast, there is nothing too spectacular about them and most of all – they just remind us of, well, school. Not that traditional, yellow school busses are popular in South Africa, but we get the general (boring) idea of them.
You can then imagine then imagine how shocked we were to find out that someone had actually decided to give the humble school bus a crazy make-over.
This school bus is no ordinary school bus. Not even close. This school bus is extraordinary – because it is jet powered! (more…)
When you think of a motor home, you can’t help but picture a 80’s style karavaan slowly making its way down to the seaside from up North. However, this motor home (or RV is you will) is nothing like the caravans you see in Hartenbos over December. It’s actually like a moving mansion.
The element Palazzo is the world’s most expensive and most luxurious motor home and has (surprisingly) just been sold to an unmanned owner in the city of lux – Dubai.
This seriously pimped out RV was sold for a whopping $3 million. But once you see what this RV holds both inside and outside you can still try and make sense of the exuberant price tag.
Developed by Marchi Mobile – an Austrian company founded by former trucking mogul Mario Marchi – this RV is the stuff dreams are made of. That is if you dream of luxury motor homes covered in actual gold. (more…)
It’s not often that you see an ugly Audi TT. I mean, the car in itself is beautifully designed, sleek and so elegant it is almost impossible to to think of it as ‘ugly’.
However, when some certain people (with an obvious penchant for bling) decide to ‘slightly modify’ the statuesque TT, things can go horribly wrong. And unfortunately, at the recent Tuning World Bondensee in Germany, this is exactly what happened.
While there were many modified and tuned up cars that were classy and well done, one tuned up car stood out from the rest. And not in a good way at all.
The Louis Vuitton Audi TT is a hot mess. It’s so shiny that it will definitely make your eyes hurt and the other features, i.e leather padding over the engine, is so kitch that you would almost expect this car to stand in the drive way of on the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s homes. (more…)
We all know what’s the most successful hybrid of all times: Toyota Prius. But what we don’t enjoy very much is that it has a boring design. Things changed when Claes Gustafson and the crew at Classe’s Garage got their hands on one and created what you can see below for a Swedish TV show. And yes, that’s a Toyota Prius.
Even though the outcome is spectacular, it involved HARD work because there’s no body kit available for the Prius and they had to start with a modified Volvo XC90. They also removed the back doors and installed custom made knife doors for the front, installed a carbon fiber venturi, air suspension, 20-inch wheels and over-sized front brakes.
They didn’t work just on the tech part and the interior got improved, too. It has a central console with a custom dashboard and a 4,400-watt stereo system. However that’s not all because this hardcore Prius also features 15 LCD panels and a tablet PC for Wireless Internet.
“The goal … was to give the viewer a great show and, second, to show that a Toyota isn’t a boring and anonymous car,” Claes Gustafson told Wired. According to him, the whole idea was “to show that every car can be styled.”
It looks stunning and has a price that competes with that: $184,275. Is it worth it?
My biggest concern if all these things can be supported by those 4 batteries.
