The Ford Mustang is an iconic car. It has appeared in adverts, films, books and people have even written songs about the beloved Ford Mustang.
The Ford Mustang Shelby is just as iconic, and lucky for us, Ford has decided to revive the Shelby with the introduction of the all-new, stunningly beautiful and utterly powerful new Mustang Shelby GT350.
The American automaker has been teasing us with sneak peaks of the car for quite some time, and yesterday marked the day we finally got to lay our eyes on the new Mustang Shelby.
Originally scheduled for debut at the LA Auto Show later in the week, the company took us all by surprise and held a private viewing event last night. While we weren’t there in person, the people over at Motor Authority had the chance to attend the event and see the beast of a car in person. Oh, and luckily they took some pics, too. (more…)
If you are a Mustang fan, then you will definitely want to see Ford’s latest concept – not only is it sexy and powerful, but it will no doubt make you feel like you’re a superhero (or evil villain for that case) when you get behind the wheel.
The Mustang GT King Cobra is a sort-off modified 2015 Mustang that has all the ingredients for one badass vehicle. Not only is the name rather venomous (excuse the pun) but this car is destined to drag.
The concept was recently unveiled at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and, needless to say, it garner quite a bit of attention.
What’s interesting about the development and production of this car, however, is that it was built completely from Ford Racing parts. Essentially, it’s just a standard, 2015 Ford Mustang that has had the Ford Racing treatment.
And how lucky this Mustang was to get the Racing treatment – because now it just looks mean. (more…)
Well this is one way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous Ford Mustang – and it’s pretty out of this world (pun intended).
A group of friends – and undoubtedly heavy Ford enthusiasts – decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang in a very unusual way. The group, from the Big Valley Ford Dealership in California decided that they would like to commemorate the momentous occasion by sending a 2015 Ford Mustang into space.
Ok, to be fair, it’s not a life-size 2015 ford Mustang, but rather a small replica of the famous car. However, small or not, the experiment delivered some amazing footage. (more…)
Ford’s legendary Mustang is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary today. The Mustang was launched in 1964 and is one of those car’s that completely encompasses American culture and of course, the rise of Ford.
Of course, in celebrating 50 years of Mustang, some interesting anecdotes and stories are bound to come out of the woodworks. One such story, is this one; the first Mustang ever sold – to a 22-year old (female) teacher from Illinois.
Gail Wise had just finished college in 1964, and had landed herself a job as a Grade 3 teacher. To get to and from work, Gail had to buy a car and with the help of her parents, set out to their local Ford dealership. (more…)

If you’ve waited for the right time to drive home a Mustang, this spring shall be the time you should look up to! With the 2011 Ford Mustang up for the grabs this spring, there isn’t a better pony you can grab as the 2011 model becomes the first commuter in the history of automobiles to achieve over 30mpg with a V6 engine intact.
Precisely, the 2011 Ford Mustang has officially achieved an EPA fuel economy rating of 31mpg on the highway and 19mpg in the city becoming the fist 300hp car to achieve such economy numbers. The 2011 Mustang comes with an all-aluminum 3.7-litre V6 engine which achieves such high efficiency numbers when mated to a six speed automatic transmission. There is also a manual transmission version which too returns 29mpg on the highway while the city numbers stay unaltered.
Mustang fanatics predicted it and now Ford has officially confirmed that the 2011 Mustang GT will come with a new 5.0 liter V8 engine. The previous model featured a 4.6L V8 that was doing nothing less than 315hp and 325lb-ft of torque, while the upgraded engine will take the pony count to 412hp at 390lb-ft of torque and it will also improve the car’s fuel efficiency even though there’s a six-speed automatic transmission mated to the engine — 17mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway. The extra mileage is courtesy of a combination of Ti-VCT, EPAS systems and an additional rear decklid seal that specifically improves aerodynamics. As for those who’d like the old six-speed manual, there aren’t any changes for that one.
