Jaguar has lifted the wraps off its C-X75 concept which comes driven with a combination of battery and gas turbine power. The concept vehicle is now being showcased at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and is luring eyeballs for its unique eco-friendly power system.
Jaguar’s new XK Coupe Concept vehicle will be revealed at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. The concept will take the design statement that Jaguar is so well known for to the next level. The unveiling happens in the year of the company’s 75th anniversary.
The 2010 Moscow International Motor Show will see Jaguar lifting the wraps off a new armored version of its XJ luxury sports saloon. Built to offer ultimate safety, the new version has been spruced up with state-of-the-art armoring package that promises up to B7 levels of ballistic protection for passengers inside.
The Jaguar F-Type has been a model seeking production approval for around 12 years now considering that it was first showcased as the XK180 Concept in 1998.
Since then, the financial crisis crippled the prototype’s future and Jaguar rightfully decided to dump the project but it was back in 2008 as insiders from Jaguar started talking about the production of the F-Type once again.
Under the new ownership of Tata, the good news is that the F-Type will finally be developed as a driver-focused sports car which will feature top of the line engines and technologies.
What is more, the closure of the Jaguar UK plant has been sped up and China and India will be home to the new company factories in the not to distant future.
However, it does remain uncertain whether the F-Type will be rolled out of the UK facility before its closure.
It’s a fact that every automaker is keen to jump on the green bandwagon these days. Same goes for Jaguar who have decided to render some hybrid commuters by 2013 or 2014.
There are no precise details available about the hybrid Jag, but experts believe that this Jaguar hybrid will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine and a 35kW electric motor, both mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. From what we’re hearing, the Jaguar XJ will be the one that will break cover with this touted green set-up — and if Jaguar insiders are right, in the future this green set-up could find a place under every Jaguar’s hood minus the X-type.
