We know that Mercedes-Benz has some big plans with the all new S-Class Maybach. And if this spy video turns out to be the first look at the supposed Maybach, then we are certainly in for a treat when the ultra luxe car finally makes its debut.
The S-Class is expanding in quite a big way. Up until now, there were only two different engine options when it came to the S-Class, but now, Mercedes is introducing an array of new model lines.
The German automaker is adding a new S-Class Coupe to it’s line up as well. This is in addition to the sedan, of course. And soon, the S-Class Coupe will be available in a convertible version too – and we’re sure that will be a big hit with Mercedes fans worldwide. (more…)
Mercedes-Benz is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading car manufacturers. Not only do they make exceptional quality cars, but they also sell a lot of these high quality cars. And, of course, in order to sell so many, they would need to produce many.
2013 seemed to have been somewhat of a Golden Year for the German car company. According to them, 2013 saw Mercedes-Benz breaking their all-time record by manufacturing a whopping 1.49 million cars in 2013. That is definitely not a number to joke about.

The Next Generation Mercedes Benz S-Class lineage will also have a plug-in hybrid version is no secret and now Mercedes is touting the S Class plug-in hybrid to fetch a whopping 81mpg. Daimler has already achieved 78 mpg (3.0 L/100km) with its Mercedes Vision S 500 plug-in hybrid at the Frankfurt event last year so therefore 81mpg for the S-Class plug-in is a step ahead.
The S-Class plug-in will fetch 81mpg courtesy of a combination of 3.0-liter V-6 gasoline engine-direct injection and piezo injectors-integrated with a 44 kW electric motor. Singly, on the batteries, the semi-electric commuter will have a range of 20 miles with speeds up to 68mph. The only drawback as far as the next-generation S-Class plug-in hybrid is concerned will be its pricing.
