Aston Martin has revealed an ingenious plan to keep their drivers cool during long, sweaty endurances races without affecting the actual power output of the car during the race.
Considering the fact that the sun is blazing down on the high powered cars during these long races, the British automaker has turned right to the source to help curb the hotness – the sun.
The company has said that they will be making use of solar panels affixed to their cars to power the air-conditioning inside the vehicles. (more…)
The green minded will definitely enjoy all the hard work the Swiss car maker Rinspeed has put into building an amazing solar powered concept. Dubbed the iChange and looking like a supercar, the lightweight electric vehicle features solar panels and packs three li-ion batteries and a 150 kW engine that helps it reach a max 220 km/h and takes it naught to 100m/h in 4.2 seconds. However, the most amazing part is the fact that it shapeshifts according to the number of passengers on board. We’d definitely love to take on the experience of making that tiger roar.
