Porsche unveiled the 911 in 1963. From then, to our days the model suffered lots of changes. A very nice review of how the 911 evolved is made in this video. Enjoy!
During our late last night chat, our friend Vincent from Autoblog.nl sent us this cool video link of an airstrip drag race between a Bugatti Veyron and a BMW M3 E92. Prior to the drag race (we hope you’re not seriously going to ask us who won), Dutch racing driver Ho-Pin Tung decided that he should warm up a bit the bimmers tires. And what smoky warm up that was!
Here’s one more “Pimp My Ride†project vehicle that’s up for sale. Gus, a reader of Carscoop, discovered Lawanna’s VW Bug that aired on MTV’s Pimp My Ride Show episode 414, on the Los Angeles area Craiglist. The seller –we don’t know for sure if it’s Lawanna, is asking a mere $40,000. Not bad at all for a rustbucket on wheels that was half-way to the scrapyard before Xzibit took over.
The VW Beetle’s theme was “Hair Force One” due to the fact that Lawanna was a hair stylist who was about to enter the air force. Among other things that the GAS crew did, was to install a sink with shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the front, as well as waterproof speakers and an iPod nano. Inside the car features a high-power hair dryer that got air via a scoop on the car’s roof.
Here’s a great review of the new M3 that shows you just how dramatically some of the key electronic settings in the car can effect the overall performance. Like the reviewer in this video, we’d want to set every mode to the ‘extreme’ setting as well.
Two of the most powerful cars ever: M3 vs RS4. The M3 is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 engine producing 420hp and makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.8 seconds. The RS4 is powered by 4.2 liter V8 engine that produces 420 hp and makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in…, well you are right: 4.8 seconds. Winner? Watch the video and you will find out!
Two of Germany’s most extreme sports cars come head-to-head in this latest video comparo from Auto Motor und Sport. In one corner is the recently launched E92 M3 Coupe and in the other is Porsche’s track focused GT3. Pity the video is German but there’s plenty of driving action to make it a worthwhile watch.
At the Frankfurt Show BMW unveiled its first hatch-crossover-suv or as the Bavarian’s call it, “Sports Activity Coupeâ€. Whatever it’s called and although opinions about its appearance were split between journalists, we liked the X6 concept. The clip features BMW’s X6 bimmer’s designers Chris Bangle and Pierre Leclerc.
