While the Detroit Auto Show is still running until Saturday, the 26th, there are already so many things going on that we can’t keep track.
With some amazing debuts, tech advances and basically anything in the automotive industry you can think off being showcased at the show, it’s hard to keep up with all the latest (and super exciting) developments.
However, we did find a very interesting video that we thought we’d share with you.
The Fast Lane Car is a YouTube channel that features everything auto. Needless to say, they checked in at the Detroit Auto Show and picked their Top 10 Favourite Cars on show.
Check out their video below:
If ever there was a car that I am pretty sure everyone in the world would want, (regardless if you’re a soccer mom or F1 driver), it would have to be the new Range Rover Autobiography. Sleek and sexy and oh so luxurious – can I place my order, please?
Cars.co.za recently had the opportunity to test drive the Autobiography (queue jealousy) and lucky for us, filmed the whole experience.
From the elegant interior design to the high-tech, self-parking (yes, really) features, this car really seems like anybody’s dream car. (more…)
As you may of heard, North America’s mid-west is basically Antartica right now. Temperatures are way below zero and the snow just keeps on coming.
Of course, with the immense amount of snowfall, and with the roads being covered and looking like some kind of icy white paradise, it must be real hard (if not impossible) to drive around.
Some places have reported more than 12 inches (that’s 30 centimeters!) of snowfall. This basically means you can’t moving anything that is engulfed in the snow. But one man, and obvious car fan, did the impossible; he took his Audi S4 Quatrro out for a day in the snow. And obviously its a challenge with the Quatrro being low on the ground. (more…)
The main man of all things cars, Chris Harris, is at the envy of us all once again. He recently got to test drive (and really drive, if you catch my drift) a Porsche 918 Spyder.
This hyper car produces a mammoth 608 horsepower and the engine alone weighs 140kg. Needless to say, this car is a beast.
So enough of the talking, lets get down to it. Check out the (typically Chris) video below. Enjoy!
We all know AMG as Mercedes-Benz’s in house performance tuner. What many of us don’t know, however, is how AMG got started.
Finally AMG (along with Mercedes) has released a short, 10-minute documentary on the upbringing of AMG and how the German company got absorbed into Mercedes-Benz.
The documentary reveals many interesting facts, for instance; what AMG actually stands for. (more…)
This isn’t something you get to see everyday.
Ferrari’s test driver, Raffaele De Simone, recently did a video for Ferrari where he takes the viewers into his signature 458 Speciale for a ride around the track at Fiorano.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the track version of the 458 Italia and hence, is faster and produces more power. As De Simone takes the viewer for a virtual ride in the Speciale, he discusses some of the more important components of this very special car. (more…)
Nissan recently released a documentary on the development of the 2015 GT-R Nismo.
This is the fastest car that the company has ever built, and thus, we can understand why they are so excited to showcase the whole development process with Nissan fans and automobile enthusiasts world wide.
The documentary features interviews with key people involved in the development as well as a rundown of some of the tests and simulations executed.
The 2015 GT-R Nismo goes on sale early next year. You can start saving and check out the documentary below in the meanwhile:

A Pagani Huayra is a sight for sore eyes. Not seen very often, but surely one of the more impressive super cars out there.
The Italian engineered sportscar has earned itself quite a reputation. One of them being it’s Top Gear record, that, might we add is still standing to this day.
The Pagani Huayra is the fastest road-legal and streetworthy car ever to go round the Top gear test track, setting a time of 1 minute 13.8 seconds. (more…)
