For some reason I’m not entirely happy with the new 2010 BMW Z4 being launched in Detroit (expected in Geneva) at NAIAS, but since I can’t afford it I’ll have to live with it.

Expected to run on a 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine that sports 343 hp, the new BMW Z4 claims that the two 3.0-liter naturally aspirated versions that output 300 hp for the Z4 sDrive35i with 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque and 255 hp with 220 lb-ft (298 Nm) of torque for the Z4 sDrive30i, are better. We fail to understand why … but that’s a different story.

With a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the EfficientDynamics technology for better performances and its LED-highlighted design architecture makes the new BMW Z4 a real competitor in its niche. However we demanded more and more, because 0 to 60mph in 5 seconds sharp, is not that quick when you pay a lot of money.
