Marchettino has caught the Pagani C9 Deus Venti, the Zonda successor, on spy cam. The video has been shot while the car was undergoing a real-world road testing in Italy recently. The auto was camouflaged, but still, the center quad-exhaust formed in a square and mounted high on the rear, revealed its identity.

The C9 is to be the next-generation Zonda model. The model will be equipped with a bespoke 6.0 liter V12 AMG power plant with an output of around 700 PS (690 bhp / 515 kW) and 1000 Nm of torque.

It has been learnt that the manufacturer is considering naming it Deus Venti, meaning “god of the winds” in Latin or Huayra, which also means “wind” in the indigenous South American language of Quechua. Certain sources confirm that C9 will be named Deus Venti and not Huayra.

The prototype was caught when it came out of the Pagani facility in San Cesario sul Panaro, Italy. At some part of the video, the growling of the engine could be heard as the C9 does some overtaking.

This might have happened while getting itself away from Marchettino, we guess. Marchettino says that the V12 he heard is a bi-turbo. However the most significant aspect of the vehicle will be its custom-made unique AMG power plant.
