Before tomorrow’s unveiling at 10.45 am CST, Acura has released tempting images of the 2012 TL. The car is to make its maiden appearance at the Chicago Auto Show. The TL recently received the 2011 ALG Residual Value Award for Best Near Luxury Car.

By the looks the car has an upgraded rear bumper, ZDX style taillights and an all new trapezoidal exhaust dual system.  A revised front grille, modified headlights and front are expected. The 2012 model is expected to boost the car’s position in the segment with aggressive, yet refined styling and performance.

Most probably the engine options will be from the predecessor, i.e.  a  280-hp, 3.5-liter, VTEC, V-6 engine or a Superior Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) 305-hp, 3.7-liter, VTEC, V-6 engine.  Although some tweaking may be done for better fuel economy and refinement.

Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales, will introduce the production vehicle at the press conference, in the Acura booth. The press conference will be webcast live on www.acuranews.com.
