The 2012 Lexus GS and Toyota Scion FT-86 concept will be unveiled at the coming New York Auto Show to be held in April. Though we just have scarce information of the redesigned model from Lexus, we guess Lexus GS will come with sportier styling. The all-new platform the vehicle features is likely to be shared with the next-generation IS.
The manufacturer claims that the automobile will have more of a performance edge to it. The spied photographs of the next GS suggest a widened track. We also expect the model to carryover the same engine options with slight modifications.
Meanwhile the new offering from Toyota, the Scion FT-86, is likely to be a rebadged version of the Toyota FT-86 II concept. The same concept was debuted at the Geneva Motor Show held recently.
We expect the power source to be featured is likely to be provided by a Subaru-sourced 2.0-liter Boxer engine that produces approximately 200 hp (149 kW /203 PS).
