The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro will come sporting many updates in time for the summer season. The most significant change would be that the vehicle will incorporate a new 3.6-liter V6 engine – to be called the LFX. It produces 323 hp (241 kW / 327 PS), and that accounts for 11 hp (8 kW / 11 PS) more than the previous engine of the vehicle. It also offers fuel economy rating of 30 mpg.
The 2012 Camaro will also offer a new FE4 suspension package which includes retuned dampers, beefier stabilizer bars as well as a 20-inch aluminum wheels. It will sport an RS appearance that features a new “sharkfin” antenna of body color. The car will also feature a new rear spoiler and updated taillights.
Speaking of the changes injected into the interiors, it will have an improved cabin, a new steering wheel, a revised instrument panel, and updated trim. The Rear Vision Package will include a rearview camera and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
The 2012 Camaro will be launched this summer. Pricing details are yet to be revealed. The manufacturer, is currently celebrating the Camaro’s 45th anniversary, and will – as part of this – offer a special edition package on 2LT and 2SS models.
