Attendees at this year’s Worthersee show will be witness to three new Volkswagen beauties sailing down the ramp. VW has said that they will be bringing in 3 special Golf editions to the show.  Going by the names of Golf GTI 16S, Golf24 and Golf GTI Edition 35, these three models will be unique in all respects.

The Golf GTI 16S comes across as a racing machine that takes off from the 1977 Golf GTI. Sporting a 1.6 liter unit instead of the usual 2.0 liter TFSI, the car will have within itself a power plant that generates 215 PS (158 kW / 211 bhp) and coupled with a 5-speed racing gearbox from VW Motorsport. Further, the model will also boast of a Billstein chassis and an 80-liter fuel tank. Meanwhile, the VW Golf24 will be presented as an endurance racer.

We have our eyes trained on Golf GTI Edition 35, which in fact will be presented in celebration of GTI’s 35th anniversary. To boast of more power than the standard GTI via the revised 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine that returns 235 PS (173 kW / 232 hp) instead of the usual 210 PS (155 kW / 207 hp). This model which will go into production has been made available for order in Germany. You may go ahead if you can part with €30,425.
