Some recent reports indicate that Hyundai is all set to unveil its Elantra coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The model will be powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) and 131 lb-ft (177 Nm) of torque. We have been hearing some rumors of an R-Spec variant, which could adopt the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine from the 2012 Veloster. If so, Elantra R-Spec will feature 208 hp (155 kW / 211 PS) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque, under the hood.
The model will be facing stiff competition from Honda Civic coupe, unveiled at the New York Auto Show earlier this year.
We have no other option other than waiting till November, when the Los Angeles Auto Show will kick off to know further .
