Honda got spectators at the Goodwood Festival of Speed totally unguarded. The CR-Z concept, which was in Honda’s plans, was the top attraction for the spies. What followed the expected MUGEN CR-Z Concept design study model was the “RR” variant. Audience and spies were unaware about Honda’s prototype for a more race-focused model MUGEN CR-Z Concept RR.
What we first notice about the splendid exterior is the explicit rear wing. Body kit is stylish and sleek and looks racy with a front aero bumper, front aero fenders, side spoilers, rear aero bumper and specially developed 18-inch wheels.
But we are sans performance-vice detail about this unconventional MUGEN hybrid race car. What we guess is it may be close to specs of the sibling car, the MUGEN CR-Z .
The CR-Z design concept car features a supercharged 1.5-liter engine and an IMA hybrid system giving output of 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp) and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque. It can race from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in approximately 6.6 seconds.
We are expecting gracious rise in power outputs when Honda declares more details about its RR edition.
