BMW has announced its plans to honor the 2012 London Olympics by releasing special editions of the 1-Series and 3-Series in the UK. It will indispensably be models of choice for collectors and luxury car customers.

BMW is the official automotive partner for the London Olympics. The new special edition 1-Series vehicle is said to be built with the M aerodynamic kit, dark-chrome 18-inch M light alloy wheels, high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, dark-chrome exhaust tailpipe and dark-line rear lights.

And if that’s not all, the 1-Series special edition includes an M Sport Suspension, sport seats in Royal Blue with white stitching, an M Sport steering wheel and gearshifter, as well as floor mats with Royal Blue piping. The car will have the 2012 London Olympics badges pasted as souvenirs on them.

The 3-Series Olympic performance edition will also be more or less the same. When it comes to cost, both models could offer considerable savings for the buyer when compared with the regular models in the series. The BMW Performance Editions are now available  in four shades –  Alpine White, Titanium Silver, Bluewater and Black Sapphire.
