The Toyota Hilux has got a facelift. The upgrade of the Japanese major’s pick up truck is expected to help it do some good business in market. The official unveiling of the 2012 Toyota Hilux has let us fall in love with the pick up.
The new variant comes with a sleek exterior with the cosmetic surgeries bringing on a revised grille, a new front fascia and restyled headlights. However, the inside of Hilux appears less altered, except for a new instrument binnacle, restyled dashboard and an updated 6.1-inch touch screen display for infotainment.
The European edition of the four door pick up equips a 2.5-liter D-4D engine upgraded with variable nozzle turbocharger, pumps up a 144 PS (106 kW / 142 PS) and 343 Nm (253 lb-ft) of torque.
This all-time favorite D-4D engine not only boosts 24 PS (18 kW / 24 hp), but also only have reasonable CO2 emissions of 193 g/km and reduced fuel consumption of 7.3 L/100 km.
