At the 2010 Los Angeles motor show AMG boss Ola Kaellenius announced that the Mercedes tuning division would release two very special Black Series cars in the near future. The first has already been seen, the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series and now the second Mercedes SLS AMG has been spied being tested on the Nurburgring in Germany. The SLS AMG is the most extreme of the Black Series to date and is apparently lighter in weight. This, combined with its extra power with an expected naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, should get the car to 60 miles per/hour in about 3 seconds.
The bodywork shows flared fenders front and rear shrouding wider front and rear tracks, upgraded brakes, and bigger wheels fitted with track-orientated rubber.
It’s likely that the car will cost about $500, 000.
