The leader in the luxury crossover, the Lexus RX is getting a facelift with the images of what the refreshed vehicle will look like having been leaked from what appears to be a legitimate Lexus brochure.
While powertrain changes are not expected, it’s clear that the new spindle grille seen on the 2013 Lexus GS is making its way across the line-up, bringing its appearance in line with the brand’s latest designs. While the brochure doesn’t seem to show the vehicle with North American specifications, the U.S. version will almost certainly have the Nike-Swoosh like LED daytime running lights, updated fog light surrounds, plus the Lexus spindle grille that’s far bolder than the trim it replaces.
Then there is also the 2013 RX Sport model that is likely to match the IS and GS F Sport models with a slightly retuned suspension and special interior trim to match the visible wheel and body kit upgrades. The trim kit also includes a new front bumper, honeycomb grille, rear spoiler, bigger wheels and tinted lamps.
Lexus is planning on showcasing two F Sport models at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
