General Motors has unveiled its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at a press event at the Detroit Auto Show.
The new sports car was unveiled by General Motors Corp. President of North America Mark Reuss who said that “I love this car. That’s why I’m here. Honestly, I joined the company because of this car. This business is supposed to be fun, right? This is fun.”
The Stingray, the seventh generation Corvette, is a redesigned version of the classic 1963 Sting Ray Corvette.
The 2014 Stingray is the most powerful standard model to date, with an estimated 450 horsepower (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque and expected to be the most fuel efficient Corvette.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will go on sale in Q3 of 2013.
