BMW has announced that a production ready version of their all new, family-orientated Active Tourer Concept will be unveiled at the OutDoor Business Show in Friedrichshafen, Germany on July 12th.
The new concept from BMW made it’s debut in Paris in 2012. The new Active Tourer seems to have an emphasis on facilitating outdoor activities and blends elements of a crossover and a minivan. Perfect for family outings and vacations.
The original concept only has five seats, however, rumors are buzzing that BMW will release a different version with a third row of seating.

The German automotive company recently released a statement saying: “it is aimed at meeting the special needs of an outdoor and leisure time oriented target group,” and that it blends “comfort and dynamic design with a high level of spatial functionality and intelligent access to BMW ConnectedDrive services”.
All in all, the BMW Active Tourer is expected to be a practical, comfortable and more affordable vehicle. But we will have to wait until July 12th to find out!
