With the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show underway, Mercedes-Benz took the stage to unveil their latest S-Class Coupe concept – and man, does it look good!
The new S-Class is expected to replace the existing CL Coupe. Although there are some similarities between the new concept and the existing one, Mercedes has made sure that the new Coupe is something you would want to want.
The S-Class Coupe Concept is expected to go on sale in the United States in 2015.
As far as differences go, the S-Class concept is approximately 3 centimeters shorter and 8 centimeters wider than the current CL Coupe.
It has an impressive 300 centimeter wheelbase, 500 centimeter length, 195 centimeter width and 140 centimeters height.
The door panels of the new concept car are made from aluminum to reduce the weight. As for the drive, it has the same rear-wheel drive proportions as the current S-Class Sedan and a beautiful diamond radiator grille, which, of course frames the iconic Mercedes star.

The S-Class concept is powerful! It features a biturbo V8 engine that produces 449 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet (or 699 newton meters) of torque.
Mercedes’ innovative ‘Intelligent Drive’ – which includes safety functions that allows the car to detect objects almost 50 meters in front of the car and then adjusts the stiffness of the suspension as the car is in motion – is obviously also included in the brand new concept.
All in all, the new Mercedes concept car looks set to be a winner!
